Drag Life
Returns to the PDRA Tour in 2015
PITTSBORO, N.C. February 5, 2015: Drag racing and really
cool apparel just naturally go hand in hand, and the PDRA
is pleased to announce that the folks from Drag Life will
again be offering their wild custom designs to fans who
attend PDRA events in 2015.
Drag Life, based in Fort Payne, Alabama, is owned by Brian
Mince, who has had a love of racing and hot rods all of
his life.
“My dad drag-raced when I was a kid and I just naturally
got hooked,” Mince said. “I have always liked fast cars
and there was never a time when I didn’t have some kind of
hot rod in the garage. I have built everything from rat
rods to turbo cars.
“Prior to 2013 I had no experience in the apparel business
at all. In fact, I was a steel worker for 18 years. But a
few years ago I saw that there really wasn’t a whole lot
going on in the way of drag racing apparel, so decided I’d
give it a try myself. In August of 2013 I trademarked the
Drag Life brand and it kind of went from there. We
developed a line of shirts, hats, decals and anything else
we could think of that would appeal to drag racers and the
fans that love and follow the sport.
“Last February, before the start of the first PDRA season,
I called Bob Harris at PDRA and asked about the
possibility of selling our merchandise at their events. He
had gotten some inquiries but no one had committed at that
point, so I told him we definitely wanted in.

“By March I knew this was what I
wanted to do full time, so I quit my
job and went on the road,” Mince said.
“My wife Tiffany and I went to all of
the races last season with the
exception of Virginia.
“You hear people say that their
business is their baby, and that’s
exactly the way it is with me. I do
all of the art work, design all the
t-shirts, do all of the stickers, pick
out the shirts we use, and so on.
Everything there is to do I do myself.
“We have a pretty extensive product
line already, including hoodies,
sweatshirts, dozens of t-shirts, hats,
and the list goes on and on. We have a
lot of new stuff coming this year,
including some hot new fabrics and
t-shirt designs. We’re always
evolving. If sales of a particular
item start to fall off we discontinue
it and put it on a sale rack. We’re
always upgrading and looking to stay
ahead of the curve with the newest and
hottest designs. I’m never satisfied
with our product line – we’re always
doing something with it.
“We go to some selected special events
during the year, but for 2015 we’re
committed to doing all of the PDRA
races, and we’re planning to stay with
them as long as they’ll have us. I’m
looking for the PDRA to do big things
this year and we’re really excited
about being a part of it.”
“We’re really pleased that Drag Life
will be part of the PDRA experience
again in 2015,” said PDRA Race
Director Bob Harris. “They have
something for everyone and they do a
great job with all of their products.”
